Copper theft at Harrison County substation
Three men have been arrested in connection with a copper theft that left almost 1,700 Panola-Harrison Electric Cooperative customers without power.
Sheriff Tom McCool said the suspects stole copper from the electric co-op substation on FM 2199 off Texas 31 this past week, knocking out service.
“Over $60,000 in damages was done at that substation for $60.90 in scrap metal.”
