Entergy & Cresatech are presenting at the 10th CEATI
In collaboration with Entergy, Cresatech are presenting at the 10th CEATI Grounding conference in Anaheim CA next week.
The presentation is an update to the conference on the deployment of Cresatech CuTS® at Entergy’s state of the art test and training facility in Clinton Mississippi.
The grounding infrastructure of electricity substations is critical for safe operation, but to date there has been no viable, cost effective monitoring method. While power network operators and plant owners usually have information available on the quality of their connection to ground, they often unaware of grounding infrastructure damage, removal or corrosion. This can leave sites in an unstable and potentially dangerous condition, putting people, assets and service supply at risk. CuTS® monitors critical areas of grounding infrastructure for changes that result from damage, theft and corrosion. It provides alerts on the location of those changes, facilitating early intervention.
The presentation will describe the installation of Cresatech’s patented CuTS® technology at Entergy’s training facility, and how it provides data on the health of the site grounding infrastructure.
